Yeah, this is an obvious copy of that site... same basic design structure and functionality. Oooh, but they changed the colors and now it scrolls horizontally! Sad.
Yep. I'm the designer of this site, and was very much influenced by More LLC's cool design - I was very impressed with the design and idea of the scrolling "brochure-esque" sections, so I implemented a very similar design for my website, only horizontal. The markup, composition, and logo for the site are my own, and I'm quite proud of them. It even comes complete with my own hand-coded Javascript scroller, and a cool image-replacement script I wrote that uses PHP and Javascript. Enjoy, and comment away!
Very nice; but I have to agree - it is quite close to More llc. Maybe changing up the background and shadows along the sides will make it more unique. I do really like the color pallete chosen though, and the logo animation is quite nice.
#3: No Worries Ryan, I was pretty much impressed by your site!
Indeed, navigation might be inspired by another site, but what the hell is wrong with that?!?
First, there were the plain links. So everybody used plain links. Then someone started with rollovers butons. So everybody discovered rollover buttons. The same with collapsing and expanding menus. And what about rollout menus? Same story...
Come on guys, get real! Nothing wrong with using a script that has been used before! It's about design. And this site has a great and crisp design obviously. Less is more. And a lot of designers can learn a lot from that...
Thumbs up!

While the typography is similar to the more site, it's not as though it's original in that case either. This one is a hell of a lot nicer to look at, since you don't see the same thing reduplicated as poorly as more.

A well-thought improvement on a dubious idea.
